Noakhali Protibondhi Unnyan Songstha (NPUS) is a Disabled Peoples Organization (DPO) working in Noakhali district of Bangladesh. Persons with disabilities face lots of barriers and discriminations due to social derogatory attitudes and ignorance towards them. A group of persons with disabilities along with their few well-wishers the organization established on January 01, 2007 aiming at brining positive changes and development of the persons with disabilities. Mr. Abu Abdullah, who is a person with visual impairment is the main initiator and founder of the organization. NPUS has got registration from the government authority on January 12, 2009. After getting government’s recognition through the registration, NPUS has started playing key roles at national and local level.
